The theme 'Inside, Outside and Inbetween' Ideas
I know a lot of people are doing this theme this year so here is some usfull ideas to help you get kickstarted!
Inside, Outside and In-between
Transition from inside to outside i.e. bleeding
Strange object placement i.e. elephants inside jars, etc…
Animal at stages of development i.e. bird developing inside and outside of an egg
Emotions - emotions being covered, masked, representation of emotion externally
Pregnancy/birth
Weather - putting weather in unusual places
Windows - seeing inside from outside and vice versa
Death - transition of soul from inside body to outside
Precious stones
Dieting/Weight Loss/Eating Disorders - Fixation with appearance, controlling the outside from the inside
Frames - enclosing something within something else
Friendship/relationships - being on the outside of a group, being left out
Loss of freedom - prison, lack of rights
Mental health - visual representation of mental illness, idea of being “invisible"/inside, on the inside as in not talked about
Bones on the outside of the body
Inside-out objects - i.e. clothing
Fruit or food cut open - oranges, lemons, strawberries; photography of painted fruit i.e. peeled banana with skin painted to look like a cucumber
Confinement - objects in boxes, rooms, walls
Mould/fungi
Wild animals/tame animals or pets
Religion
Animals within their habitats
Thoughts - i.e. thoughts/traits literally being written on someone’s face
Buildings and architechture - inside and outside various buildings i.e. church, house, block of flats, caravan, tent, etc…
